That’s a “modest entry”?? Let us know when you get serious about your modelling. Your catenary alone puts your layout in a special class – even if it’s not working catenary although I suspect it is.

No…it’s not working catenary! If you guys remember Don Abramson’s New Haven layout, you’ll see what I’m working for. I went to a seminar he did about a year back, and had always been interested in NH catenary. A few months later, that module was born.
I’m mostly interested in scenery, so “working” trackwork is kept at a minimum, usually (gasp) disassembled. My layout is roughly 8’X4’

The pagoda tower is an ERTL kit and is on a 1" raised platform so it has a more “commanding” view of the crossing and switches. Does not seem out of scale at all when HO people are positioned by it. (I just haven’t gotten around to painting them all yet)

I’ve got to ask. What is the red thingy sticking out of the blue house?
You can have a crack at mine in the signature. Not much yet, planning photos and trackage rights on a friends layout.

The red thingy is an unrealistic insulator. When I add power lines it may be utilized, but probably replaced with a smaller one. It is a bit odd!
