I’m building my first layout and want to use the pink extruded foam technique for scenery. However, I"m having trouble getting the material located. One individual at a local train shop speculated that its related to some California environmental laws. Can anyone confirm or dispel that view??? Better yet, can anyone give me a source in the Sacramento area.
Have you checked Lowes or Home Deport. I have not found the pink stuff here in Oregon but have found white foam boards, which work just as well. I think the pink stuff is proprietary to Dow.
It might be a regional thing. Here in wisconsin i can find the pink or blue form board from every major and most minor home improvment stores in this area
Home Depot won’t carry something that is not going to sell in some areas. It is in their product line though, and they will bring it in if you order it. Go to the contractors desk and have them bring it in for you. If they don’t want to, they are being lazy and a letter to head office should fix that.[:)]
