Today I uploaded the Project I’ve been working on to TonysTrains website (www.TonysTrains.com).
The sound are sampled from early soundtracks and should be reasonably authentic. The triple chime and bell are both unusual.
The flute-like triple chime was installed at the air intakes and gave engineers headaches, so was replaced with a single horn on top of the roof later.
The bell sounds like a fire alarm, and Charlie Vlk conjectures that it was used because the Q worried that passengers near the track would possibly not hear this new quieter train approaching.
If you have a Loksound programmer, or order a decoder from TonysTrains already programmed, I would appreciate your feedback. Note that I placed a short chime on F6.
