Have you all chosen to forget that the Steelers were on the raw end of a number of bad calls or that they were the only sixth seed team to ever play in the Super Bowl? How about the consecutive wins on the road through the playoffs? Think it through… Cowher gets a nice cushion and runs the clock out till the W goes his way. If the opposition were able to produce points when they had the ball that strategy would be shelved until the offense produced a matcing score and the cushion was restored.
I’ve got a C-note that says if you look back over the previous ten Super Bowls on the Monday morning following SB Fifty you’ll see the Pittsburgh Steelers listed as the Champion on at least three occassions. It’s called a Dynasty. The Rooney family has been there done that before and it’s time for it to happen again.

I finally get to see a team from my state win a championship, well at least since the 1992 Pittsburgh Penguins.

Okay, I’m gonna write this in generic fashion with the intention of not offending anyone. Also, the story can be told with railroad names, any sports team, etc.
One morning the second grade teacher came into the room wearing the colors of her favorite football team (X) (your least favorite team) and began telling the children why she was such a huge fan of (X) that team.
After ten minutes she asked for a show of hands of all the other fans of (X) that team.
The children didn’t really understand the concept but wanted to be on the bandwagon with their teacher so they all raised their hands… with the exception of one youngster in the back row.
Teacher asked the youth why he alone hadn’t raised his hand. The lad looked her directly in the eye and said “I’m not a fan of (X) because I’m a proud fan of (Z) (enter your favorite team here) and I always will be.”
A quick series of questions told the teacher that the boy was a fan of (Z) because both of his parents were fans of (Z).
She then told the boy that he had a really stupid reason for being a (Z) fan. “What if” she asked the boy “your father was a moron and your mother was an idiot?”
The boy shrugged and said “Well then, I suppose I’d be a (X) fan, just like you!”
