Places to look for Lionel locomotive?

Hi guys-

I am looking for a particular steam locomotive (NYC Berkshire No. 6-28639). I have tried ebay, Trainz.com, Trainworld, and Grand Central Ltd. No luck so far. Please let me know your favorite places to look. Thanks!

Try doing a “Google” search using the part number, I am sure you will get a whole bunch of garbage but by the same token you just mite get lucky.

If you don’t already have one pick up a copy of CTT, site sponsor, and check with their advertisers. Maybe start with the biggies first and work your way down. Charlws Ro, Grysboskis, etc., etc.

Grysboskis offers fast, super service. Treasured Toys in Salem, NH also offers excellent service, and they did have some the last time I was there. Don’t forget to look them up. Try them before Charles Ro.

First off, Welcome to the forum. This is a great bunch and with a little kidding to boot. They have lots of information, so as your needs arrise, return often and ask plenty of questions.

My personal favorite store is The Train-Station in Mt. Lakes, NJ. They have a on-line site, www.thetrain-station.com, but I would call them with your request.

This may be the same place Dennis mentioned, but this is the list place people sell trains on & I have done very well here before ! Also lots of pictures of almost everything ever made, but not all ! Great reference search place, too.
