Hey all,
I was wondering if there is a website out there where one can swap blueprints/plans for kits they have completed? I have finally built a few structures now and thought I would love to swap some plans… (originals of course, so no copyright infringement
) Anyway, I thought there used to be an HO sharing site, (tstage did you mention once…???); well, I can’t remember… just wondering.
Would people be interested? We would have to snail mail the originals to not violate copyright law… I don’t think this would be illegal (would just be helping us scratchbuilders…).

No takers? Did I offend? I really didn’t mean too… just have all these ol’ plans that will go to waste…
Brian
Interesting idea. Did you mean like craftsman kit plans for scratch building?
Exactly, lothar. If you swap the originals (which you bought and paid for) their would be no problem with copyright…

That is, intill the MRAA (Model Railroad Asociation of America) (a subdivision of the MPAA/RIAA headed by MTH) insists that the free sharing of plans is in fact copyright infingement and starts suing us for keping digital records of said plans…
They would have no basis for this. If you sell the original, then they have no basis. NOW, if you keep a copy (digital or otherwise) then you have issue. I am talking about selling the original, which would be totally legal, in my humble opinion? Any lawyers out there want to comment?
