Plastic gears inside the trucks of powered locomotives

I’ve been searching to find out what the gears inside the trucks of powered Athearn/Proto & Atlas locomotives are made of. Yes I know plastic, but what type of plastic.
Would anyone here have that info?

Nylon, for one. Slippery if smooth, it gives a bit, and is silent. Tough, too.
