Please, share your DPM MODULAR building results.

I sincerely appreciate those who posted pictures of their DPM modular results. You have given me encouragment to press forward and blessed me with some good ideas in the process.

Thanks, and I hope we continue to see more pictures of DPM work as time goes by.

Joe,

Don’t forget to share you photos when you are done.

Another useful thing to keep in mind is that you don’t have to build a square building, as many layout “building lots”, crammed in beside the tracks, can be odd shapes. Possibly not too noticeable in the pictures which I posted earlier, National Grocers was built to suit the site available, resulting in odd shaped structures with annexes that may be less than prototypically practical, and of course, a couple of curved walls, too. From eye-level, they work rather well, I think, but here’s a view that illustrates a few of the anomalies:

WOW! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! All of these buildings both large and small look great! I am modeling Detroit and all of you just gave me some great ideas! Thank you!

Nice looking stuff everybody.

N scale “stuff”

Photoshop mockup of one planned but not yet built

This may be a little off topic, but since there are a number of people contributing to this topic who have had experience with DPM structure kits, I’d like to ask if there are any special tricks for painting the windows and doors a different color than the wall portions without having to hand paint each one with a very small brush. I’m thinking specifically of the N-scale kits.

Thanks,

Bob
