Pleasent surprise, InterMountain Co

I called InterMountain to find out the price of a F3 truck as I droped it some time back and wanted to get it back up and running. They said they would send it at no cost to me, I again told her that I broke it due to my clummsyness and the truck was not defective in any way, as I wanted to be fair about it and pay for it. , was my total fault it broke. She chuckled and said it was to be sent free of charge.

I have been impressed with the model of how it performs with my Ca Zepher consist, and after this kind act of this company, I will definatly purchase more products from them, and act of great service goes a long ways with me.

Lots of times compamys get flamed very badly, I just wanted you to know they seem very interested in keeping thier customers very happy. oh by the way, when I called them… a lady ansered the phone, and best of all I could understand her LOL

I’ve had similar experiences with Sylvan Scale Models. One time I was missing a tire from a truck kit. I contacted them and they sent me an entire set of tires, at no cost. Another time I broke a part myself and was willing to pay for the replacement. They sent me part…for FREE. Steve @ Ulrich Models has been very helpful in that way, too.

I too have had similar experiances with Intermountain - they are always on the top of my list for future purchases when their offerings fit my needs.

I like their locos and freight car kits and have had exceptional service from their products and the company.

I’ve had similar experiences with Bar Mills, some companies do appreciate and take care of their customers.

I have contacted InterMountain a couple of times regarding a few of their products and have always found them ready to help in the case of missing parts.

Once when I had obtained a couple of their F7 units I was disappointed with the quality of finish and InterMountain immediately sent be replacement units.

Now that is service. I have since bought a number of InterMountain units whereas in the past I would have bought Genesis units, no longer is the degree of finish on InterMountain F units less than the Athearn Genesis units. In addition they are less expensive.
