I drive by there every day on my way home, and lately I’ve noticed quite a bit of UP police officers sitting or driving the service road on the Rockwell Sub. Have they been experiencing elevated crime or vandalism rates there recently? Which also brings me to another point, the eastern side of the sub has like a 15 high tall metal fence, through which you’d never get through without a cutting torch, while the western side of the sub, well, you could just walk right up to the tracks. If there is a really a big problem on that sub, why don’t they just put up a big metal fence on the western side of it too?
Thankfully, you haven’t had to spend any amount of time in that neighborhood. The fences and police presence are quite justified.
