Is it just me or does there seem to be fewer posts since the change of the websites forum?
There was a lull after it was first introduced; but it seems back to normal now. I skip over polls (except this one), Sunday photo fun, the coffeepot, the picture anthologies, and BTB; and it is still a struggle to keep up.
I think the nicer weather has folks out and about (especially Summer months) doing things outdoors or away from home. A bit of snow and frigid temperatures will cure that.

I don’t know if there are fewer posts, but I do know my dwell time is less as since the change the forum bothers my eyes more.
Same here, I can almost never keep up. I read the smaller posts and that’s it. I will agree that a few people seem to have disappeared, take my Marx thread for example. It got up to 98 posts, usually 3 a day, and all of a sudden died. It seems to have slipped 3 pages back, but I’ll fix that.

I think RockIsland52 hit it on the head, when the weather turns colder and the folks are back inside the activity will probably pick up. It’s the same on the “Trains” and “Classic Trains” magazine forums, both worth a look if you haven’t been there.
Of course, some topic take on a life of their own and just roll on and on, some run out of steam pretty quickly, no pun intended.
Seems the same to me.
Speaking of cold weather, I hope we have some snow here in PA. It would be so refreshing (and I get some extra $$$ for postwar trains [:D]).

Yes. Fewer hits? Probably.
The more interesting question is whether this is what management intended? [^o)]
Say Lehigh Valley, when you get some snow up in PA could you ship some down to the Richmond, Va. area? This last summer was BRUTAL. I’m dying waiting for the cold to come! I’ve lived here for 25 years and I’m still not used to the heat, maybe I’ll never get used to it.
Man, you ain’t whistlin’ Dixie! I’m over in Charlottesville, and I’ll echo the BRUTAL comment. I don’t know if there were many days this summer which were under 90 degrees. Plus, in late June and early July, we had a stretch of days where 7 of 10 days exceeded 100.
Sorry, but I don’t think we get enough snow to make that worthwhile. [:'(]
This summer was pretty hard on us as well. Not as far as temps go, but it was bone dry. Haven’t seen the Susquehanna this low in my whole life![:O] Wonder how the drought stricken areas are doing, haven’t heard of those areas in a while.
