Hi there

Can these water-based paints be used straight from the bottle as is, or is it best to either mix with water or dip your brush into water occasionally when applying ?

Either way really. If you thin with water it just tones down the color.

I thin them a little. I use a 50/50 mix of water and window washer fluid for thinner.

I read that, with any acrylic paint, it’s best to dip your brush in water every now and then, if you’re brushing the paint straight from the bottle, so it won’t start to dry on the brush. However, I don’t and have never had that problem. In fact, before I read that I had been using them for years and never heard that.
