Popular European timetable gets new publisher

Mr. Cook is rolling over in his grave!

Really good news - and up to those who value the publication to subscribe.

I would say that Mr. Cook WAS rolling in his grave. I’d say he’s now stopped since this announcement. This is certainly good news and better than no news I’d say. Mr. Potter and his other two team members should give the whole venture everything it needs to succeed. My information is that they are indeed the team that gathered the information for the Cook work when it was abruptly discontinued. If everyone who loves to ride European trains would subscribe or at least buy copies on a regular basis this could be a success. I just hope that it is easily available in the USA and elsewhere and that the public recognizes this work for the great value that it holds.

I hope that Trains magazine will advise its readers on how to obtain copies as soon as it is back up and running.

An electronic version is in my opinion indispensible. Even better, one that would be available on e-reader devices.

Finally something positive. Hope they really get going with it. Nothing can beat a printed timetable. Online timetables are rubbish as soon one is on the way. It´s idiothic when internet roaming is more expansive, than the eurail or internet ticket. Usually information is neccesary when things go wrong and that mostly doesn´t happen in hotel where ther is a chance of wifi.
Whish some one would take care of the former overseas timetable, too

Now we just need to have the International Timetable rescued.
That covered the rest of the world, and was indespensible to me in my 1990’s travel.
