Portland’s TriMet reports record ridership
So 42 Million plus trips and 102 Million passengers for an average of 2.39 passengers per trip. What am I missing here.
I love to visit Portland (and will again in November). Portland knows how to do mass transit (particularly light rail). I will arrive via Amtrak in November for a school board conference, and will use only Max (and their new Orange street car line) to get around.

The use of “trips” refers to passenger trips, not vehicle trips. The 102 million passengers inculdes bus passengers.
