Cool. Users don’t usually get to see stack dumps.

In your case, I think it means the rear truck of your tender is slightly out of gauge, causing a derailment on Atlas Customline turnouts.

Ummm, Okay then.

Testing the Locked function, while I’m at it.

Your follow-up post is locked, but my previous one is not so I can reply to the thread.

I noticed that. I don’t know any other forum that allows a user to post then immediately lock the post. I can’t decide if this is a useful feature or not.

I just tried doing edits of my own posts on another thread. I got a page with an error message, but no stack dump.

When I went back an looked at the posts I’d tried to edit, they actually did get edited OK, but I still got an error message. Is this what you saw?

I don’t think so. I know for certain that the first time I got that message, the edit did not post. It happened again, which is where I copied the error message from, and I don’t think it posted that time, either.

I got the same error and the same results as others. I did not get a stack dump listing.

I am using Firefox 3.6.8 on a Mac OS 10.5.8.

My test message that I will try to edit and see what happens.

[pi][B] Pizza and beer? I do like that smiley combo…

I am now editing this message.

Yes, my post was edited, but yes, i got the error message.

Sorry, there was a problem with your last request!

Either the site is offline or an unhandled error occurred. We apologize and have logged the error. Please try your request again or if you know who your site administrator is let them know too.

I have the same problem here.

Here too. [^o)]

I got the same error message but the edit took place just the same.

I don’t know if it has to do with the site or not? I was doing a pretty long posting in the dinner, screen went blank and computer rebooted? All is fine again, could the site caused it?

One thing is for sure, I don’t care for the crap that is happening so far![banghead] I have to shut down zone alarm to get the site or page to load and again to get a post on. Now, I cannot get the posting page to normal sizes, even after refreshing the page two or three times. Something happen on WFP when there was a lot of pictures.

Same here. [:)]

it’s slower than molasses in january, but it seems to be working.

I just went to one of my posts that had a mistyped misspelled word in it to edit and correct it to see what happened. ALthough it took forever to get a response to the posting of the edited correction it came up with the “offline unhandled” error message to me, but on re-entering the site and checking the posting, the corrected word was there so the correction was made. Perhaps the error messages will get cleared up soon.

Nothing like the OOPS! Something went wrong! error message we used to get!!

Yep, same error message for me, but the edit took. In my case, (Firefox 3.6.8, Mac OS 10.4.11) I had double-posted (slow connection, and I thought it didn’t go through (it did), so went to delete the text and ‘post,’ got the message. Went back to the previous (edit) page, changed to a shorter post, posted it, got the message again. Just tried going to the page another way, and found the edited post had gone through. Ah, well… Learning curve? [swg]

Side topic - there’s no way I can see to delete - like when I do make a duplicate post (there was under the previous forum software version). That would be good - only thing that came to mind now, was to ‘report abuse’ to a forum moderator and ask them to delete it…

On your side topic Jim:

That was a feature on the previous forum but as I understand it {and a moderator had a lengthy post about it before} you could “delete” a post {such as a duplicate or one you wanted to erase} ONLY if there had been no “reply” clicked on that posting. AS a general rule the last posting in a thread almost always get clicked and then creates what is called a “daughter post” when someone clicks the “reply” button on that post. If that has happened, then one cannot delete the posting, one can only do what you did in the diner and delete out the words within the post. Hopefully that feature is still here { I have no reason to try it now}, but only works if no one has created a daughter post.
