POST RAILPICTURES HERE

If you have a rail photo that railpictures.net won’t accept, post it here. NO PEOPLE CAN BE IN THE PICTURE

Please include date, state, location, and your remarks.

December 1st, 2004. Illinois, Wheaton, downtown.

I finaly saw Union Pacific #3300 with a camers.

West Chicago Illinois, in 2003, at the junction, a poor defensless Union Pacific engine rolls across the junction full of grafettie.

Yesterday I saw a RR Gondola that Graiffety that said;UP SCALE!
I have no idea what that even meant.

Glen,

Although your graphics would support a narritive, they are not stand-alone material.

Here is one of my rejections from RailPictures.Net::

Jim - Lawton, NV MP 236

Here’s one of a CSX freight on the S&C branch near Rockwood, PA.

I can’t believe that,that one got rejected.
That is very nice,Those large puffy clouds make a wounderfull back drop.

That is a GREAT picture[:)]! Railpictures were idiots for rejecting it[:(!].

Hear hear.

Why did they reject it?

Do you suppose the rejection was because of the mud splattered on the pilot?

Jay

Here’s one from Manistee Michigan on 8/25/04. This picture was rejected because of poor lighting. I thought it would be good enough.

Sorry BB_Michigan, the picture didn’t come up.

Here is one of mine…

Does it work now? Just signed up for a Shutterfly account. If so, here is another RP reject at the same location as the other picture.

Personally, I think that they are all GREAT[bow], but for each and every one I can find a reason why they would not accept it. No offense to anyone at all. As I said, they are all great!
Here are the following reasons why I think they werent accepted:
Glen: The loco in your 2nd pic had its trucks covered by a gondola, if it there had not been a gondola, it probably would ahve been accepted. Loved it anyway.

SP9033: It was a great shot, but the houses in the background were probably what did it. Great puffy clouds though.

bbrant: could not see your photo on my computer.

BBmichigan: You can see the light shines off the cab. If you had been a little more in front, the lighting may have been better.

Glen: Along with what I said to SP9033, there is too much clutter, though not your fault with the gates down and all.

BBmichigan: your second pic was great! But I think you need to be a little closer to the train. Thats all.

Now remember, I am not the lord of all critics, so if you disagree with me, fine. Also remember that you can also submit the pics again i believe.

Here at States Prison in Illinois, right where the Blues Brothers scene where Joliet Jake gets out of jail, an old grafeitded C&O caboose sith in an EJ&E/CSX yard.

Because of the grain structure of the photo, Just too grainy they said, I think they were right, I scanned the original photo at too high of a resultion, 600 dpi rather than 300 dpi!

Glen,

I think what I want to share with you is, with words share with us your excitement. support it with some graphics, and all of us will understand and enjoy the moment!

I’ve got an absolutly perfect shot of UP’s 3300, taken during 1995, but it suprised me, as I understand it, you were stocking the No 3300, and your shot was planned? Let’s hear the details…

  1. Can I see that picture please?

  2. This is what happened. I went to a Chinesse restraunt on November 31’st. When I was done with my meal, I got a fortune cookie. The fortune Said, “Tommorrow will be lucky and memorible for you.” Both my lucky numbers were on their. When I read that fortune, I thought of UP #3300. Knowing an the Union Pacific Metra West line that Wensdays at 7:00PM were active, I went to Wheaton Illinois. This worked out, because the next day (December 1’st, 2004) was a Wensday. Sure enough, I saw it.

Struck gold at West Chicago Illinois Feb 20 2005.

Then their is this one, not same position, but same place, only in 1992.

glen ellyn: G R A F F I T I grafettie is a cross between a grapefruit and confetti, you toss it at a wedding in Florida.

Thanks [:D]
