post your York wish List

I’m going and I’ll be looking for some really nice Postwar pieces. among them

224 or 1666 small steamer and tender

3434 Poultry Car

2460 crane car

?? red work caboose Lionel lines.

RMT seated people

Some SP pills

JT megasteam

Hoping postwar prices are better this year but probably not.

I wish I could determine whether or not I am actually going . . .

still up in the air.

If I do go, I will be looking for:

New Haven and New York Central freight cars;

operating coal dump cars;

Downtown Deco or similar interesting building kits - I need a break from scratchbuilding

Figures - Artistta or Preiser

2242 New Haven A-B set or a 209 New Haven

some three dome tank cars

scenic details - garbage cans, trackside rubbish and the like

almost forgot:

Post war passenger sets (or stray cars) of the O27 size variety.

I am currently changing my focus to prewar type items. I say prewar type because the items I want I could not afford in decent shape.

Lionel Classics Baby Blue Comet

Lionel Classics 1115 station or MTH 116 station

MTH 437 Tower

A nice looking 260e. MTH or original Lionel

2800 series cars. MTH or original Lionel

If the postwar items are in collector quality condition with boxes, inserts, etc. you can be rest assured that ain’t ever goning to happen.

I am looking for a bunch of stuff in operator quality condition without boxes or inserts or etc. I am resting assured that I am hoping it’s gonna happen.

A 260E… and some other scenery related items.

I also don’t care too much about boxes. If it’s there, then so be it. I just want pretty clean pieces with only a couple of small nicks or contact marks. Heck I do run these but want them to look as nice as possible.

Frank53,

If you do go, I’d appreciate it if you kept an eye out for a 2034 shell in good condition. By good condition I mean minimal scratches and both die cast marker lights present. No more than $20 though.

I looked for NH box cars for you at a show last weekend. Cheapest one I found was $60, not counting the black one that was melted on one end.

The main enjoyment I get from York is “wandering and looking”. My main item to get will be a “Whistle-Stop Diner” kit, as well as some Miller Engineering sign items. Seeing the latest offerings from Lionel, MTH, etc. will be fun, but I’m not in the market to add any engines or rolling stock. I’ve had many York trips where I’ve spent less than $85., but I still look forward to going twice a year. Joe

Something like “E-Bay” listing 330105699899 Lionel 700EW Hudson…[:)]

Lets see… since I just filled up all the train boxes with the latest purchase:

I’ll be looking for:

RMT B&O or C&O BEEP
inexpensive light freight
C&O Flatcar with Trailer (one or two)
MTH School House
MTH Conway Yard Tower

Brent

Hey Brent old buddy [Yank [:-^]], find out when Lionel is going to ship my Big Boy and TMCCII. Thanks [bet that opens a can of fishing worms or maybe a bucket full of minnows]

O scale people, probably a military car from GELLER TRAINS, and some O sacale cars.

Chief - this is my first York show, and I’ll still be on TCA Probation… I think that would get me kicked out of the show AND banned from TCA for life! [:O]

I do hope to see it in action though… that could be a tough sell to the wife though… BOTH TMCCII and DCS in less than 6 months!

Brent

No traffic on Rt 30

Lets see how much money I get to bring, then I can figure out what I can afford.

Say Hello, Blue Hall, table E-14

My wish list: Jerry Calabrese and Mike Wolf kissing, making-up and a merger of their technologies that merges Protosound and Railsounds and all other proprietary technology. Oh yeah, How about only 1 OR 2 Types of track going forward.

A silly list, but I really WOULD like to see these two settle the lawsuits and make a great hobby even better. Technology that meshes would be great, too.

Realistically, I’d like to find a Blue Comet.

Tough question…

First, really looking forward to meeting people. Especially from the Pot and Forum.

Getting literature, similiar to ET, data, data, data,…

Needs…

Swithces (ross) and track possibilities?

Some small items, Teather, Upgrade for PE, People,

All door boxcars, Possibly a Norfork Western J Series,

Leaving room for stuff I can’t live without, Lionel Hobby Store etc.

Tony Lash’s layout, status on BB & Legacy, so much…

AND…

Seeing some areas I have never seen before. Been to NY, Boston, and Niagra but never to PA.

Leaving 2 weeks from today, coming back a week later. Can’t wait.

I will be looking for some large covered or non-covered hopper cars, auto loader cars, assessories, transformers like the kw and zw, some passenger sets, berkshires, small steamers, and what all men need…parts…then again i will just be looking…probably going to buy the small stuff so i can more of it…thanks
