I have an old N Scale Postage Stamp Bus System (Buses and Roadway), but no power supply or controller. I think the buses operate on 10 Volts AC current, but have no way to confirm this. I was thinking of trying my power packs 15 volt AC accesories terminals, with a reostat to control voltage, or perhaps the controler from a slot car set. I’m hoping to get some information before I try any of this, as I don’t want to fry the buses. Any input or suggestions would help. Thanks, Rich Gerhardt
Most likely 12v DC power like the postage stamp trains. Check mechanisims for binding and dirt. Clean things up a bit and try to run on low voltage if possible to work lubrication into the mechanisim. Find a local hobby shop if you feel uncomforable opening the busses.
I have the instructions for my Postage Stamp bus 1968. Here is what it says Power can be sourced from AC12-18V fixed or AC12-18V accessories. The Aurora power pack was 18V AC from 110V house current.
