Posting pictures

There needs to be a guide line for posting pictures. Why you ask? Because some people fail to understand that when they post in the wrong file format the picture takes up the whole page and text is printed over top of the picture making it hard to see.

On top of making it hard to see it can be unviewable to other readers. They ask every few days how to post a picture.

So I ask you why is there no guide line for posting pictures? Why have none of the on-line administrators posted a sticky note?

A simple list of sites, the file format and a recommended file size. It’s not that hard. All other forums I go to have done this.

I vaguely remember that a past moderator, Bergie, posted information about posting photos.

I have a Photobucket account and, via trial and error, learned to post photos at a very small size by clicking on “IMG Thumb” as on this image:

and my usual, “medium sized” preference by clicking on “IMG Code”.

I joined this forum a little over two years ago and had to find out how tp post pictures to a thread by trial and error. OK, it is not that difficult, once you know how to do it, but it would sure be of a big help, if there were some kind of instructions.

At least, it would avoid those many thread on how to do it.
