Posting problem

I have two problems with posting messages on the MR forums (Safari is my standard browser) and would appreciate somebody aiming me to a place that describes how to: 1. Get a couple of blank lines and a new paragraph when I hit “Return” instead of having everything run together in one paragraph. 2. Include photos in a post. Thanks.

I have the same problems with Chrome.

The Trains.com forums software doesn’t like webkit.(the engine that is in Chrome and Safari.)

there is an entire WYSIWYG toolbar that doesn’t load.

The way around it is to manually add the angle bracket p angle bracket to the end of a line.

have you considered running firefox? Works great and isn’t internet explorer.

Hey, what’s wrong with Internet Explorer?

What isn’t wrong with IE? lol

I run Chrome, because it’s less of an infernal memory hog compared to IE and FF.

I find that they all have their quirks. I run Firefox Thunderbird for email 'cuz Micro Soft doesn’t want to support Outlook Express any more, and IE pauses too long on loads at some of my other sites. It works well here, but not at model-railroad-forums or trainboard.

I thought I’d always be a loyal IE user, but not for the past two months. Firefox is my Numero Uno now, but it doesn’t seem to provide active links when I copy and past a URL here. It will do photobucket cuts/pastes for images, though.

You can’t have it all…

Outlook Express was replace with Windows Live mail. Free download and works great.

Chrome doesn’t play nice with some of my other forums though—IE works quite well for me—[:-^]

Well, how about that? I booted up Firefox and the WYSIWYG toolbar you mentioned is there, even including one for inserting an image. I’m in the habit of using Safari because its bookmarks sync automagically with Mobile Me across all my Macs and Firefox requires a manual transfer of them, but I’ve always enjoyed Firefox otherwise.

Now, let’s see if this breaks into two paragraphs. Thanks to all for the help.
