Posting screen shots

Can screen shots be posted in here, direct from where you took it, without first putting the screen shot in whatever photo hosting site you use?

Just wondering.

Mike.

Not that I’m aware of. There are a few forums where you can upload photo’s but it usually involves money.

For example, TrainOrders is subscription forum (if you want full access) and you can upload photo’s there - no host.

Atlas Rescue Forum (ARF) has, at times, had some capacity to upload photo’s but only when the owner has paid for it, and when that capacity is used up, then the only way to post photo’s is via a picture host.

The common thread with posting photo’s without a host is $$ is invovled.

No, you can´t!

Save the screenshot on your computer, upload it to a picture hosting site and then insert the picture link in your post.

Please refer to the "sticky"post on top of this section.

Thanks guys, yea, I get that part Ulrich, and I post pictures regularly from my PB account, just wondering.

There’s one member in particular in here that post a screen shot once in awhile, so I guess he’s doing it through a hosting site.

Next time I see one of his shots, I’ll ask him.

Thanks again!

Mike.

I use to do it when I had Photo Bucket. It is just a photo.

Yep, just like any other .jpg, upload to a host and link to it from here.

Actually, I’m not a fan of uploading to all the other forum sites I participate in. I have 30k images on Flickr and I can manage them all there.

By having to upload a photo to another server every time I want to post a photo gets to be a logistics nightmare.

OK, yea, I have a PB account, so, just wondering. It seems like when a thread is in progress, and somebody adds to the thread with a screen shot, it just seems like it’s happen fast.

OK, what about an image or photo from a search like Google images? or maybe Bing, can you post an image from there? or do you still have to put the image in the photo hosting site? Of course, providing the image isn’t copyright.

Mike.

Probably not unless you view it at it’s original source.

When you right click and copy the link, it has to end in .jpg

That’s the most common ending, there are a couple others that will work .bmp .png but if it ends in a number, we won’t see it.
