Postwar Tenders

Hey Ya’ll,

I’m saving to buy a 2037 (I’ve always liked that engine) and If I don’t like the tender. Is there any places where I can get just tenders?

When I get the 2037, if it dosen’t have a 6026T/W tender, then I’d like to buy one for it.

Hello Steelrails! The Trading Post Train Shop in Cleveland,Ohio has 2037s & spare Tenders as well. Give Jim there a call at: 1-216-661-7300. Good Luck.

Williams has/had a 6 axel tender as a separate item.

Many engines on eBay go up for sale without a tender, as well as tenders by themselves. I like the “higher-end” tenders with grab-rails on all 4 corners, and bought one on eBay. Train shows seem to ask a lot for tenders. Joe

According to Greenberg’s Price guide the 2037 had a selection of three whistling tenders that may have come with it; # 6026W, 233W, or 234W. Is the 2037 just a 2037 or is it a 2037-500? The 500 is a differant color & the tender ends with 500 in the number.

The -500s are the pink ones for the girls’s train.

Hope,

The 2037 I am going to buy is just a regular 2037. If I found a 2037-500 for the price of a regular 2037 I’d buy it though.

I’d just like to get a 6062W tender, and maybe some spare tenders to have around just in case, or to put in an engine servicing facility sceane on my layout when I build it.
