So, the combined device is also wired in parallel as in ADCX Rob’s helpful photo above?

I can’t give you a resource but I can give you some advice. Don’t be afraid to ask questions here. The only stupid question is the one you’re afraid to ask.
I recommend going to the www.dallee.com site to see the device. It has four screw terminals. Two are the input from the transformer, the other two are the output to the track. Dallee has made it simple to connect, instructions are provided and are on their site.
Breakers are always in series with the load.
TVS diodes are always in parallel with, and as close as possible to, the device to be protected.
