power prefrence for display layout?

An officemate of mine is heavily involved in the history of a local interurban/trolley line (W&OD). We have talked about running a length of track along the tops of a row of cubicles in the office, and running a repainted Industrial Rail trolley along the length of it. It is a straight run of 24’ for which we have allready purchaced O-27 extra long straights (new) and the snap in plastic bumpers.

since we are doing this kind of “on the cheap”, what is the minimum reccomended power supply we can get away with? At 24 feet, but at most 7 rail joints, will there be any power loss issues?

Since you are going “on the cheap”, you should be able to get away with using the cheapest toy train transformer you can find. Just about any transformer can power a trolley 24 feet. If there is any voltage drop along the way, just run another feeder wire out to where the voltage drop occurs and you should be good to go.
