I recently had to replace a bad motor in my wife’s adjustable bed, about $66 with FedEx shipping. It’s 110 volt reversible, jackscrew drive with 700# (yes, not a typo) lift capacity, limit switched in both directions, with about 7" travel. It hit me that this could be a device to operate a lift gate remotely, and could also be interlocked electrically to prevent operation at “inopportune” times. Anybody as gadget-prone as me see any value or worth in this, or am I just as nuts as I sometimes suspect? Gary
It sounds like a keeper to me! [tup]
Sounds like you could lift an entire side of your layout with that thing![:P]
The room where my wife wants the layout is at the bottom of the stairs (which has a wheelchair lift). Clearance at the bottom to exit the ramp limits me there to a maximum of about 24" wide, UNLESS I can flip up about 3’x6’. You are more right than you think! I had not considered this application. Thanks! Maybe I’m not so nuts after all…Gary [8]
