Bought 3 PowerEx 230 ahm batteries and the Maha charger just 1 year ago this week per all the suggestions here (thanks Jim). Because of mostly summer inactivity each battery has been charged only a few times (I leave the batteries in the charger per OK from Maha). Recently one of the batteries has has stared blinking continuously in the charger. I have tried to “condition” it to no avail, both considering it as highly charged and as low charged per the Maha charger FAQ’s. Emailed Maha Support and was told it probably is a bad battery. Just wondering if you find this to be a normal situation to get early failures or just a low percentage event. THanks all.
Sorry, my bad, forgot I was in this section of the forums. I will repost in DCC section.
We have 14 of these batteries at the club. One did fail over the past year. The owner of the throttle took his throttle home and did not return for 3 weeks(on vacation). The battery charged up fine on his return, but did fail(blinking) after a few weeks. I did the drain/recharge at home, but the battery was DOA.
Lesson learned - take the batteries out and put them in the charger when leaving the club! Not sure what the length of the warranty is - Maybe you could get an exchange.
