Powering Switches

Hi there

I was wondering about powering switches. I will use the AC on my power pack but it only has 1 output hole. I think the piece i need is one of those long rectangular shaped things with about 10 screws but what are they called and will it work for switches?

Terminal strips and yes they will work, just keep the connections straight.

I’d use two power strips…(one for each post of the power pack) that way you won’t get then confused…use one for + and one for - …take a wire from the pack and wire it to the terminal strip then feed wires to each post on one side until the one side is completely wired with jumpers…do the same for the other strip…then mark one + and the other - …that way you won’t cross the wires and make a short or reverse the polarity…Chuck

pavariangoo: Aren’t you building a 2x4 foot N scale layout? What is the point of wiring turnouts when you can just reach over and flip them by hand?
