Practice Photo Post

I see the numbers for Sunday Photo Fun has diminished a little. I figured I’d try my hand at posting photos so I can participate also.

The image appears large in the preview. However, I will post anyway and see how it goes. Any comments or tips are greatly appreciated.

Looks great. Look forward to seeing more of your pictures!

Jim

JimZ…the picture in your last post, when clicked on, enlarged perfectly to full screen. Whatever you did or thought, keep doing it. Great. Hope to see your SPF pics.

Jack

@Jim,

In the preview, before you actually post your message on the forum, the image shows on full size. As soon as it’s posted, the forum program automatically resizes the picture and makes it clickable. As soon as you post more picture’s you’ll notice it too…

Besides, nice photo!!

Jim

nice scene, good lighting and color

it looks great to me

Yes. And when I click on the photo inside his post, I get a nice full screen enlargement. Not something I have to use Zoom too enlarge yet again. I like that.

Jack

I too like the quality and size when the photo is clicked. The EXIF data is also intact on the photo (for photography wonks). Good job!

Jim,

Great photo. I see that you have a 456 Coal Ramp and 397 Coal Loader set up in the background. I have them and am trying to figure them into the layout. Can you post a photo or two of them?

Mike

Here’s a photo of my 397 and 456 together:

Mike,

The 456 ramp is by itself. It sets against a backdrop of a power plant. The backdrop acts as a view block for the other half of the layout similar to many Model Railroader project railroads. I have the 397 on the other side to simulate a loading and unloading operation seperate from the power plant. Unfortunately, the other side if only about 40 to 50 percent sceniced.

Thanks all for the kind comments![:)][:)][:)]

Robert, thanks for the picture. I check out you layout from time to time. Pretty amazing!

Jim, cool idea.

Mike

Just looked at your very nice photo…but don’t recognize any of the rolling stock.

It’s most likely not ‘postwar’, so I assume it’s ‘modern era’ ()90’s, '00s??) Lionel?
