Precision Craft Models 4-8-2 Mountain...how good are they?

Broadway Limited’s website is advertising a N scale PCM 4-8-2 Mountain available with factory installed DCC & sound, and I’d like to hear from owners what they think of it.I’ve seen a PCM E8 with DCC/Sound and am impressed of its performance and so expects the Mountain to be nice too. That’s one loco I’d like to add to my roster. Thanks for any info.

Your guess is as good as anyone else’s since the only owners are those living a rich fantasy life. The loco was announced ages ago. It has yet to be released.

There’s more hard evidence of the existence of leprechauns than there is of PCM’s N scale 4-8-2.

If someone held a gun to my head and forced me to choose between the existence of little green men from outer space and the existence of PCM’s N scale 4-8-2, I’d have to choose little green men from outer space.

PCM’s N scale 4-8-2 will be available about the time the question of the aerodynamic problem of getting pigs to fly is solved.

It’s what we in the software racket refer to as “vaporware”.

Sorry.

Andre

They’ve been promising that since early 2004. Five years and it still desn’t exist.

If they ever do make one I’ll eat an N scale boxcar.

I just up and built my own.

Precision Craft Fail.

Dave, pray tell, would this be something you could share with us?

About this time last year I kept the forum appraised of my progress. Took me about six weeks. This is what she looks like:

Should I use any search terms beyond your name, 4-8-2, and awesome? [:)]
