I have all the CB&Q models (DCC, Analog, and dummy) and they look great. The paint was sharp and the details were visible. I did find the analog models ran rough when I first tested them. I haven’t run them since then and do not know if they will get smoother with time. Also I have not yet checked the gauge of the wheels and other routine checks. This having been said, I expect they will soon be taking over the head-end of my transition era Zephyrs.
I have some and they are grea, but they spoil you so that now I want sound in all my loco’s. I can’t wait for the M1a Steam Loco to be released.
I have one of the GN units and it is fantastic! Great power for the International or a Pool train (Portland-Seattle). I cannot wait for there next release.
Very nice sums up my opinion. THXs for the great article.
My E7 may not have sound or DCC. But this locomotive is Thee Best Locomotive ive ever owned. (Better than a Kato locomotive) The paint is neatly applied A smooth runner and pulls a “ton”. It looks great in the SP Daylight scheme
