It stated on the $15,000 Precision Craft Sweepstakes that the winner will be subjected to a skill test. What is the test on? (Model trains, real trains…)
I believe the skill test applies to Canada only. Maybe it’s in French?
The skill of finding all the detail errors on the engines they have promised but yet to deliver?
What link are you looking at?
Skills test or not 15,000 dollar’s worth of trains will be sold on ebay and funds used to retire the mortage. It is either that or sign divorce papers. =)
Well, I can see hanging onto a couple of SD7s and a Cab-Forward… Most of the rest are pretty irrelevant to my chosen prototype though. But 10k would buy a lot of lumber and track.
i think up here there is a law that you either have to buy a ticket or pass a test to win a prize . the skill testing question is usually an easy arithmetic question , like what is 4 + 17 - 11 ? i guess our government doesn’t like to see anyone get something for nothing
french ? no , i don’t think so . i doubt if more than 25% of canadians speak french as their first language , although the total % of canadians who speak some french would be much higher
That reference to French was my rather lame joke. But more seriously, if you win the big prize you will have $15K in income which could cost you 3 to 5K in taxes. Maybe more if your state taxes income. Most of the ebay money would go to Uncle Sam.
…who COULD use some extra pocket money the way things are going right now - LOL
You can stop worrying about it, I already sent in the winning entry!![:p][;)]
