Any coverage of EMD’s lease/demo fleet?

How about alternative fueled locomotives like the Napa Valley Wine Train operating a converted EMD engine on CNG?

Magnificas locomotoras, seria interesante ver la cabina de mando.

Actually, this comment is for the Editor, Greg McDonnell. I got the 2013 issue of Locomotives the other day and started reading it over the weekend. I read the Editor’s Notebook first and had to stop on paragraph 2 and smile a bit. Loved your comment about Cajon and I quote, “on a misty March morning with Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons on the tape deck…” I thought I was the only one in the world who loves trains, real & model, and country rock music. I am a big Emmylou fan and of course Gram died too soon. Grew up listening to McGuinn’s “jingle, jangle” 12 sting; a big Byrds fan; Flying Burrito Bros; Poco; etc. All this from a guy who grew up on Long Island. I don’t know hold old you are Greg, but I turned 62 on 11/24 and still get excited when I hear the first few bars of “Eight Miles High.” Great stuff. If you would like, I have a great story about Gram Parsons, but too long for here. Contact me at ftlnguy@aol.com and I will share it w/you. Keep up the good work. I look forward to this issue every year. RSM
