Why do I receive the email message of the preview of the current issue, July 2012 in this case, anywhere from 4 to 7 days after I actually receive the publication in the USPS? Conversely, a number of good articles in this issue ("Easy tips for adding scenic realism in a small space; How to repaint and upgrade a classic O gauge steam engine and Flexibility and performance of Lionel’s Lionchief Plus Steam Locomotive .

I’m just getting into the July issue and I’m sure it will be a good one. CTT always is terrific. The July cover photo is on of your best ever! It’s not the switchers so much as the color of the background. Really good!

I have always heard (read) that the motors that were used in these engines had problems such as the motor plates moving and jamming the motor. So, I never wanted one. I’d guess too, that I was spoiled by the great running characteristics of my 624 C&O! I got that the first year it was offered and it still runs great. I read the July issue and I’m still reluctant to buy one. Great issue, though.
