Printing 1:1 from XtrkCad

OK, I’ve got my benchwork pretty much done now and I’m just starting to put the layout design on, but when I print at 1:1, it prints the XtrkCad thing at the bottom and then its not much fun trying to line it up with the other pages. Is there a way to prevent this from printing? I’ve tried several things, but none have worked. I’m sure I’m missing something simple here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is a checkbox on the print box called “Engineering Data.” Turn it off. Also, I think it works best to check “Ignore Page Margins.” You can then tape pages together in perfect alignment by butting each sheet edge-to-edge against the each other. I was able to create a perfect 1:1 template to lay on my benchwork. Keep experimenting with the settings on small sections til you get it the way you want it – it’s worth the effort. By the way, after I got the 1:1 laid out, I used my wife’s sewing pattern marking wheel, rolling it along the track centerlines to transfer a dotted line to my foam benchwork… giving me a centerline to use for laying roadbed. Perfect! Good luck.

Thanks. Thats the only checkbox I didn’t uncheck. Why, I don’t know. Not too bright sometimes, I guess. That sounds like an excellent idea with the marking wheel! My wife is a seamstress, so she’s got one. I’m assuming she’ll let me use it…
