My 2353 won’t move - is there a way to test the e-unit? I thought i have seen where you can bypass the e - unit to see if the motors are ok, then you know if its the motors or the e unit?
Thanks

Make sure the e-unit lever isn’t locked it in neutral before you do anything else.
kinda stupid on my part - but i had a car setting on my track shorting out the transformer - this was the problem and nothing wrong with the 2353. The 2353 fired up fine when i cleared the tracks.
Gotta keep them tracks clean of metal and other cars. I have a 2353 ABA, they work nice dont they, really smooth, even better than my 2343 AA units…good luck with you 2353…thanks.
Gotta keep deem tracks clear!! good job and run some trains!!!
Usually, a visual is good enough to check the e unit. The side of the drum breaks. Or the drum does not spin. Condition of the contacts is important too. Something to keep in mind if you do have a real problem.
