Once again, for reasons unknown at present, it appears that folks are not getting email notifications for any private messages. Until we get word that the problem has been fixed, please get in the habit of checking to see if you are in receipt of any when you log on to the site.

Just for reference, I have been posting regularly on the forums for about one year now. I always request email notifications when I post. In that year, I have received email notifications on exactly ONE day. This day was about two weeks ago, and I got about 25-30 email notifications all at once for all kinds of old messages and even two PM’s that had been sent to me months previously. No email notifications before then or since. Jamie

Same here, wasnt getting any emails about posts so i never bothered to not click the “Email me…” button. Now im getting emails. a lot of them…lol

Yes me too. I am not having problems that I know of with email notifications of pm’s, but having substantial problems with email notification of posts to threads which I have posted in. I never had it turned on until I decided to try it about a month ago. But if I post in a popular thread, I get overwhelmed with emails, so I turned it off. After about a week, it turned back on autmatically. I keep turning it off (and saving the change), but it comes back on again in a little while. And I have also noticed that there can be a delay of several days between the time of the post and the email notification of it.

HOW CAN I STOP EMAIL NOTIFICATION OF POSTINGS???

Change the option in your profile.

Well, now mine seem to be working again! Unlike many, I don’t mind the barrage of emails since it lets me know whan something gets posted. Jamie

I have turned it off in my profile (and saved the change) at least ten times.

no problems here, except some I think are getting a bit too hysterical…

Oops is the only one that ever e-mails me. And he never sez anything!

Please send an email to Bergie. He will have to look into why your changes are not “taking” once they are saved.

I got my first PM notification in a long time today. That’s all I want, so I guess my settings, and yours, must now be right.

Found i had to delete notification on each posting individually to stop e mail notifications.
