I am building the Faller kit for a new LHS and about half way through I have encountered a problem with the lift portion of the coaster track. Now since I was doing this for a new shop owner I was very careful to follow the instructions (at least all that were in English and/or photos). I cannot see any way that the long spring (which serves as the lift drive) can contact the coaster’s trucks. I suspect there is something the instructions fail to translate since there is over a full page in German for every paragraph in English… and I don’t understand German. I have built many ‘box of sticks’ and laser cut wooden kits but never saw any kit like this plastic monster. Has anyone out there ever put one of these together? I assume Faller kits are well engineered but I can’t see anyway this arrangement would ever get that string of tiny coasters up that first big hill- I hope someone else has been there and can tell me the secret. German is a much more “eloborate” language than English, so it is not unusual that the German text is much longer than the English [swg]
Unfortunately, I cannot help you with the kit - I hope there is someone in the forum who already has assembled it & knows the trick.
The only thing I can think of is scan the German instructions into a PDF and have it translated. Maybe you’ll get the missing parts of the instructions. Good luck I always wondered how these things went together!

Since Faller is – or was ? – a German maker , I’m not sure if ze Inglish trranzlation off the Gerrmann text is quite-fully-completely korrekt . It is said , there have been cases when some of the deeper meaning of a text cast in German grammar and faithfully filled with English words may have irretrievably gotten lost , partly or totally , to the stunned Anglo-American reader , forever wondering if tempted to wonder about this wonder .
On the other hand I’m afraid it may not be considered fully reassuring , less so come as a relief , when I say : actual meaning in certain German texts – such as for instance a concise 1200 pages pocket-version of a manual to a more basic type of German automobile or Chinese re-imported high speed train – may sometimes appear insignificantl
Thank you to both posters who offered to translate the instruction manual for me. I found a German visitor here on the island (I live on an island off the Texas coast) who looked over the instructions for me. His translation did not add anything new to the manual’s instructions (rats!) but it did resolve my fear that I had missed something. The roller coaster has been placed on top of the pile of things to do while I wait for two replacement parts from Germany. Meanwhile I’ll complete what is to me a more user friendly laser cut wooden kit (in which I can make my own replacement parts easily if needed)
