Last summer I left Photobucket, along with lots of others, and swtiched to imgBB. It worked OK, more or less, until about 10 days ago when the site asked me to log in again. I had forgotten my password, so I hit the ‘Forgot Password’ link. The system sent me an e-mail with a link to the New Password page. I put in a new good password and hit the Select button, and nothing happened. I have tried a couple of ways, even on my IPad with no luck. My e-mail to Customer Service has not been answered

Set up a new account with imgbb, and create a new userid and password.

I have had no problems with Imgur since fleeing PB. If you uploaded a huge amount of pictures and now you are locked out, I feel for you.
The only way to avoid that is to to what Randy has done, have your own domain name and pay for storage somewhere. You don’t have to create a destination website, like the wiringing for DCC page. Even then you ought to have a back up.
Dare I say it? I have found in life that most of the time you do get exactly what you pay for…my time is valueable…

Sorry to disagree, real lesson is write passwords down and I use the same one for sites that are non transaction sites.
Another vote for Imgur. Uploading and posting photos is trouble-free with no ads getting in your way.
I use a Cookie Blocker and if I don’t disable it security stuff doesn’t work, including passwords on some sites (the MR Forum is one that doesn’t work with the Cookie Blocker on).

Hi
What do you use for the Imgur web link or log in page?
I seem to stumble around trying to get to the right log in spot.
Thanks
Lee
Most of the time … but not all of the time. All of our time is valuable.
Is this what you’re after,Lee?
Deleted pic.

Thanks for the answer**.**
I can get to that page but I can’t find my album. I wasn’t sure if that is the home page are if I have to sign someplace else.
These computers are smarter than I am.
Cheers

Edit: Hold on I solved my problem. I have to hover over my name and click. [D)]
I can’t remember when I signed in last, but if you bookmark this page, you can add photos to any of your albums if it remembers your login.

or you can bookmark you model railroad album if that’s what you use most.
Lee,disregard my PM. 'Glad you figured it out.

I agree. There is nothing wrong with imgbb. Why bother with imgur?
If you forget your password on imgur, the same problem occurs.

Write down your password onto the website. So you won’t forget. It’s better than remembering if you have more than three different ones being basically the same.
So all my usernames and pass words are written down, because I could never remember all that stuff. I can barely remember my phone number.
And all my pictures are on two hard drives here and on a cloud service in addition to the very few I have on Photobucket.
So all my photos are pretty safe…
When all this Photobucket stuff started I was already a Photobucket paying customer to get rid of the ads.
A lot of ugly stuff was said on here about Photobucket, and a lot of ugly stuff was implied about anyone who would continue to use them. I mostly kept quiet.
I have about 100 pictures posted on a garden tractor web site, in several instructional threads that took years to build. That site does not allow editing after the first few hours of a post. It would be a great loss to that community to loose my thread, and a project of epic proprtion to ask those administrators to help with re-linking all those photos. No bragging, just saying, it is the second most read and posted thread in the GRAVELY section of that forum.
Now, even if I
I store all my non critical passwords on my computer as a document. I open Wordpad and type in the site name, screen name, and password. From time to time, I add various passwords, or change passwords as requested by some sites. Then I hit PRINT, and print out the list of Passwords and date it.
I also bailed on Photobucket. Not only can I no longer post pics from it, but I cannot even retrieve my own pictures that I uploaded to the site. Fortunately, rather than delete photos that I uploaded, I just save the full SD cards from my camera and buy a new SD card from time to time. I also have downloaded many pics to data discs and saved them.
I think this will continue to be a problem with photo hosting sites. The general web browsing public suffers. Nothing more frustrating than going to a thread for advise on problem solving or just to admire anothers accomplishments only to find a photo hosting snafu! I am a sponsering member of a newer Model A Ford site that hosts member’s posted photos. I’m certain that would be impossible here with the number of threads and participants.
I am wary of even the sites that are still free. Photobucket started out free, until it had a million or more photos, and then held them hostage. No site is going to start out with a fee. They wait until they have millions of photos to start charging. And the fine print you agree to when you sign up says that all photos become their property.
