Professional decoder installation HELP

I have a number of brass engines in which I wish to install decoders. I am leaving for overseas and will not be able to take much with me so I wanted to have at least four engines ready to roll when I return… I plan on doing the remainder when I return and have more time.

Has anyone had experience in this area and if you needed to possibly remotor and install a sound system AND didn’t have the time; Who would you recommend???

Thanks,

Roger

Bruce Petrarca at Litchfield Station in Arizona. http://www.mr-dcc.com

Tony’s Train Exchange in Essex Junction, Vermont, at http://www.tonystrains.com

Loy’s Toys in Arkansas at http://www.loystoys.com

and there are a few others.

I’ve never used any of their installation services, but have purchased DCC products from them and know they are all very reputable companies.

Are the brass units painted or in native brass?

My LHS, Maine Trains in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, does installations. I’ve seen (and heard) lots of great work there. www.mainetrains.com for information. He also does custom paint and decal work.

Texas:

I have both. Two factory painted and the rest are native brass. I also plan on having the unpainted ones painted. I figured that it would be best to have any remotoring and dcc installation done before I have them painted… It would be great if I could find one person to do the entire job…
