Professional Kit builders wanted

Hey guys,

I’m looking to see if someone on here can help me out. I’ve got a kit that I would like built, interior added, building weathered and lighting installed.

I’ve tried to do this myself but I trashed the first kit. It would be a rather simple job I would think for you pros, but for me being a newbie, not so much. If you can help me out send me a message and we can talk.

Elvin,

I would not be publishing a email or phone number in a forum page…that is what Private Messages {Start Conversation button at teh bottom right of the page here} is for.

Especially since yours sounds like an advertisement.

Chad,

Just out of curiosity, what kit are you trying to build?

Practice makes perfect. If I were you, I would give it another try. If it is an expensive kit, get some cheaper ones to practice on.

Depending upon how many structures you need built, using a professional kit builder could really get expensive.

Hi,

I’m also curious as to what kit you are talking about.

I have to say, the pride in “doing it yourself” is a natural high, and I do recommend it.

That being said, I certainly realize that some folks just can’t do stuff like that, through no fault of their own. We all have our strengths and weaknesses…

Good Luck!

PS: I suspect there are a lot of guys (me included) on this Forum that would love to tackle your project - depending of course on what kit you are talking about.

You’ll change your tune, mobilman44, if it turns out to be one of those laser cut wood kits that you love so dearly, not. [(-D]

OK, I confess…

I have a love/hate relationship with laser cut wood kits. I’ve recently built 6 of them, and the end results - IMHO - were pretty good. BUT, the time, effort, and frustration that went into them was quite a bit.

Would I build more? Certainly I would - but not in the near future…

What kind of kit is it, or what is the kit? What kind of troubles did you run into on your first attempt? Maybe you could start with a simpler type kit before tackling a more difficult one. There are some expert modelers on this forum that can and will give you some excellent modeling advice.

Chad,

I would start with a simple kit to first. I started with American Model Builders Church. The MR Dream, Plan, Build series video walked you through the steps and made simple recommendations. All the AMB kits that I have done are straight forward. I have learned to check all the parts before starting.

Structures are part of the fun of modeling.
