I’m not a professional railoader, and I doubt I will be. Still, the best times of my life have been those with engineers and other rr men!
engineer for 8 years, conductor for 3 years,
Dispatcher now but, started a conductor
I am a driver(engineer) in the UK. mostly on comuter and local services, but used to be on freight some years ago.
2 yesrs in engine service(fireman, then engineer) - Got drafted and went back to school after the service. Count me as an ‘ex-railroader’ & and interested 3rd party…

I’m not a professional railroader, but I want to be. I have the opportunity to work with either CSX or Loram when I turn 18, and I just may see what I could get by working with them.
When I graduate high school (Fingers extremely tightly crossed) I am going to go to the Conductor program at a local college, and then it’s on to CP rail. Or at least CPR, as CP Rail doesn’t technically exist anymore.
Im a professional railroader, on my layout!
i’m the only one in my family that isn’t a professional railroader…guess that makes me the black sheep of the family…modeling is about as close as i’ll get to the real thing…chuck
