Progress Rail donates locomotive to Okefenokee Technical College
Maynard, the first paragraph of the story mentioned that the locomotive was going to be used as a training aid for the college rail programs. I’m guessing that means an engineer training program or some other rail related classes.
So what is the college going to do with it? Do they have an engineer training program? Nothing was mentioned in this article about the purpose for the donation.
A quick look at the school’s website and they have Locomotive Electrical Systems and Locomotive Mechanical Systems training programs.
