I have a P1k RDC3, but it lacks a motor and drive shaft…
I checked walthers but couldn’t find any remotoring parts, and their parts page thing seems to have disappeared… Does anyone know of anyone who might have repowering parts?

The Life Like RDCs didn’t have drivesahafts, the motor powers one truck only. What happened to the motor in yours? They did not come unpowered.
Probably cheaper to buy a complete new RDC-2 or 3 from Trainworld for $19.95 rather than try to find a motor truck for this out of production model. Trainworld’s RDC-1s were $29.95, no idea why the price difference.

The motor in the Atlas S1/2/3/4 is exactly the same as the RDC except the RDC’s motor has 1 shaft while the Alco has 2. I’m not sure if the rear flywheel will interfere with anything or not without taking one apart. You may have to cut the shaft or the bulkhead. They might have a drive shaft that fits also. You could order 2 or 3 shafts of different lengths as they are quite cheap.

Both are from Trainworld, but they have a lot of Sentimental Value due to the fact that the person who sent me them passed away last November. I suppose I could get another RDC, for I think a 2 to 1 Ratio of powered to dummies would work better than a 1:1…
If you can get it apart and post pics, maybe we could help better.
I might have a can motor that’ll fit. It’s single shaft and has a 2mm shaft, so a flywheel from PPW should fit.
