Recently I acquired a P2K E6 in the Tenn Southern colors. I bought the unit with some parts missing thinking they would not be that hard to locate. Well here I am asking you folks if you know where I can locate parts for a P2K E6. Specifically Im looking for the front pilot, roof stacks and just a good place to purchase parts for these out of the way gems. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks,Don
Had Walthers not acquired Life Like, you might have some good luck in finding the missing parts.
Life Like always kept spare parts on hand.
Walthers, on the other hand, is a whole different story. They seem to have no interest in maintaining a spare parts inventory.
Your best bet is to find a junker on eBay and cannibalize it for the parts that you need.

You might want to try posing a “WTB” (Want to Buy) message on some of the yahoo HO scale train sights. There are several that cater to buying and selling as well as general discussion. You may have to join them to do this but it is free and in my experience I have found many odds and ends to complete projects by doing this.

You might check www.walthers.com, not necessarily to see if they carry the parts (which it sounds like they don’t) but to check out after-market detail part manufacturers who may make the parts you’re looking for.

I appreciate every one’s input in helping me find this crucial part. I located the part through a Yahoo group from a gentlemen in Ontario Canada. His pilot came off a Santa Fe E6, I will have to do some re-painting, but its worth it as the P2K E6 units are a masterpiece in themselves. Thanks again,Don
