I am curently looking for a driveshaft for a Proto 2000 SD7. Would anyone know where i could find one?
If you’re unable to find a P2K shaft, Micro-Mark sells a drive shaft kit that may allow you to make one.
Did you try Walthers? Give them a call.

If you need the part number so you can call Walther’s let me know and I will look it up.

If you have the part number that would be awesome!
Sorry Diesel Power, looks like I spoke to soon. All I have for the SD 7 is the basic sheet that tells how to take it out of the box, remove the shell and how to add the pilots. I bet if you call Walther’s they will come up with the needed part number. Now that I think of it, when I bought the new light board I did not have the part number but Walther’s came up with it.

Ok no problem. Thanks anyway.
Hi Dieselpower
The part no. you need is 584739. It’s called SD7 Worm Gear package. You will have to call Walthers to see if they will sell just the drive shaft if they have one. The package includes the worm, worm cover, drive shaft and bearings. If they don’t have one you might check Atlas since some of their diesels use dog bone style shafts. This is HO by the way.
