Proto 2000 SD7 ho locomotive

Help,

would anybody please have an instruction sheet for the proto 2000 ho SD7 locomotive that they could email to me.

I would be very greatful for any help.

I bought the unit 2nd hand and it has been running beautifully after I cleaned the wheels today and then it just shut down.

Unfortunately there are no instructions with the unit. I have just come back to model railroading and would like everything running well for the grandchildren.

Have you tried www.walthers.com ? They own LifeLike Proto 2000 now.

Might contact Walthers. Walthers now owns Proto 2000 so might have the instruction sheet

If all else fails, send it in for repairs. The lifetime warantee is very good. Walthers now owns proto 2000, so deal with Walthers. I’ve had good luck with them.

Possibly, it’s a “quick fix” you can do yourself. The DCC ready locos have a little plug that may have jiggled loose and needs to be pushed back into place.

I dropped into my model train club, which I joined recently and there was a member there who specialised in Proto 2000.
