Hello All.

I am currently looking for a Proto 2000 WMRY BL2 locomotive. It seams that when Proto 2000 first ran a production run of the engines, they made the engine in 2 paint schemes. Fireball, and Speedlettering. One of the engine’s item number was 8697. Was the 8697 a fireball engine or a speedlettering engine? And what paint scheme was numbered 81 in on the first run?

The first run of the BL2 stock number 8697 was the fireball scheme engine # 81. In the more recent run stock # 30198 was engine # 81 in the Speedlettering scheme.
