Does anyone have any experience with these models? I’m looking into future expansion and was wondering if either of these can handle 18" radius curves. For the E6’s, I’m thinking of getting the newest version, not the ones release a couple of years ago (if this makes any difference).
Also, can these handle the snap or remote switches? Or should they be used with the #4 and higher switches?

I have a P1K New Haven RDC and planning to get a another one as the prototypes often ran in pairs. She can handle 18 radius, though since the couplers are body mounted one should consider that derailments “are possible” on a tight radius if 2 or more are coupled together.
On my “test shelf” I have #6 turnouts and a Peco turnout that’s about the equivelent of a #4. No problem for a single RDC.

Sounds like you’re doing what I’m thinking about doing with my RDC’s. I was looking to potentially run 2-3 together.
