Trainworld has the above engines with sound for $89.99 and $119.99, respectively. Anyone have either of these locos and can give me some feedback in regard to performance, quality of QSI-equipped sound, etc? And do you know if they work with the Quantum Engineer? I heard some of the “earlier” QSIs did not work with the Engineer and I thought maybe that’s why these are cheap.
They will work with Quantum Engineer.
You can upgrade the chips to V7
QSI sound is good, in the same league as LokSound and Soundtraxx.
The price is worth it just for the decoder and speaker, you can buy any version 7 upgrade chip to fit, and install the system in an entirely different locomotive…
