Proto-Lanced CN Fleet Update - pics

Warning! All of these locomotives are painted in the Green & Yellow Canadian National Livery. Some of these locomotives may not have ever been seen in this livery in the proto-type. In fact some of these locomotives didn’t even exist when this livery was in use!

GP7 no.1706

RS3

GP9m no.2900

SW9/1200 no.14

GP38-2 no.5500

S2

Even if they aren’t proto-correct, I like them in the Green & Yellow livery.

An interesting case of “What if Allan Fleming (Toronto graphic designer who developed the modern CN symbol) had never been born?”

Seeing those pics makes me think of what CN might have done if they kept the green and yellow scheme. I think these ‘what if’ type of paint jobs look real neat. Keep ‘em comin’ !

Dude, you know that switcher should be black, lol. Just kidding eh. Very nice work and I really like the GP38-2. I would really like to see CN and CP do sort of what Union Pacific is doing and paint a few newer loco’s in old paint schemes. It would be cool seeing a CP AC4400CW in the old maroon and grey or a CN SD70 in the green and yellow. Some of these loco’s are do for a paint job so… Any CN or CP executives surfing the Model Railroader forum???

I’ve seen an SD90/43MAC in Tuscan red and gray, and a dash 9 in the olive and gold. They look grrrreat!
